I got the following definition of patriarcy from a feminist blog. If this is patriarchy, then how can anyone?

think we live in a patriarchal society??
“According to anthropologist Sarah Blaffer Hrdy, patriarchies “monopolize access to the resources women need to rear their young.” (245)* The other features of patriarchal societies are the control of female sexuality with the express purpose of determining undisputed paternity, monopolization of resources, aggrandizement of male power, forced dependence on male for subsistence and protection from other males, and the generation of myths that females are passive, submissive, inferior.”
Edit:
@fraxinus: I don’t know where you’re getting that OB/GYN has been taken over by men. I’ve never had any trouble at all finding a woman woman’s doctor. The fact is that the litigious nature of entitlement princesses has all but driven OB’s to extinction through malpractice insurance premiums in the U.S.
Women as nurses? Don’t even get me started. The most sadistic people I have ever known or heard of have been female nurses. Including the one who birthed me, and the one who re-injured my husband in the hospital.
Cutting up women? There are places in the world where women are cut up for real. How about feminists fighting for women who actually ARE oppressed, eh?
I am actually sick to my stomach after reading your reply.
I need your definition and examples please ?

Please give me your own examples and a your own definition of “objectifying a woman” .
I am writing something (informal) and I am stumped for examples.
Thank you in advance. I appreciate opinions from both men and women.
Please note: this is NOT for school, work or writing a book or blog. I would just like hear some other people’s opinions and examples.
Thanks for the answers. Keep ‘em coming! I love to hear other people’s point of view.
