Yahoo front page, top news item: “Lohan gets political on blog, sounds off on Palin” why is this news? ?

Now I know some of you are going to say I shouldn’t even be getting my news from Yahoo and you’re right. I’m just wondering how anybody at Yahoo could have been looking at the top stories for the day and decided this was the fifth or sixth most important. How could this even be considered “news” in the vaguest definition of the term?
Definition of “after the break” (often used in journalism)?

I am seeing this more and more on many blog-reporting websites like Engadget. This is often used in a news story or short article where someone is reporting on or about something and they say “Video after the break”, or “Pictured after the break” or “Click the link after the break”. What are they saying when they say “after the break”?
